Bylakuppe New Prayer Hall Construction
The monastery is known locally in the Tibetan Settlement as Kagyu Gonpa. It is home to over 150 lamas, khenpos, tulkus, and monks. The current temples capacity is roughly 50 people.

The Amitabha Foundation was chartered to provide support for a variety of cultural and humanitarian needs in Tibet, India and Nepal. Programs we have completed include community economic opportunities, family and monk sponsorship, sleeping and dining quarters, clinic and dispensary and retreat centers. In recent years emergencies such as the devastating Kathmandu Earthquake and recently Covid-19, have created direct relief efforts of food, medicine and water.
